Default Hey! Can someone help me! Audi Questions!

Hey everyone im new to the forum ... i am currently a 350z owner and its my pride and joy but i live in connecticut so it snows alot so i am looking to buy my mothers 2001 audi a4 1.8t quattro, it is an auto tiptronic and i am big on the mauals .. so its a bummer but its a beautiful car , is it worth to put money into it for performance? like an exhaust intake blowoff valve etc.? with it being a tiptronic? or should i just throw my 20"s on it and use it as looks ... please let me know your take on the TipTronic transmission! thanks Ryan

you can get a chip that will get you another 50hp/50tq. 1.8t engines have tons of performance mods, its just a question of how much you want to spend. the auto tranny will hold up pretty well with some added power and proper maintainence, but its still a slushbox. you can also get a tip chip, which reduces the shift time signifigantly.

i don't think 20s will fit without rediculous spacers. the a4 will be nothing compared to your z as far as performance goes but it'll def be much much better in the snow. the tip tranny is really laggy however giac makes a tip chip to reduce the lag but quite a bit. yes it is worth it if you're only paying a penny for it lol. just don't put more than a 1500 in mods though. check the classifieds section as there are always a4s for sale

^ he's already got the tip in mind...

20's won't fit either way because different pattern and yours are lug nuts, ours are bolts. I'm a Nissan Enthusiast myself and put plenty of wrenchtime in my buddy's Z. Welcome!
