but now i got another question for everyone. my daily driver is an automatic 97 A4 1.8TQ. the noob write up chaos wrote says that a K04 or t3/t4 are all i should be shopping for. the DD needs a new cat, turbo, and exhaust manifold... i was lookin at the K04 as a turbo replacement, but im not sure what i'll need as far as a HFEM, HFC and DP that will mate to it and give me a 2.5-3" exhaust system? So basically the only things Im sure of for the DD are a Hyperboost HXC DV, K04 with giac (440cc file) and custom vent boost gauge... everything else is up in the air till i get some good ideas from someone or stumble onto a nice setup for an automatic tranny.

 

you can run either the k04, gt2x, gtrs, gt71r elim, t3t4 50 trim, and someone even put on a gt3071r and so far its held up.

and giac doesn't have a 440cc file, at least not for the k04.

wow, chaos, thank man. but the HP approximaitons... are those HP rating that the engine produces, or are those HP #'s id have at the wheels?

what new lines would i need for the K04, software, and DV? and are bigger diameter Catback exhaust and DP even worth it for the money? My goal is more torque, less t-lag, and maybe even a better sound from both the turbo (spooling sound) and exhaust (something with a deeper tone). what do you guys think of this manifold? MJM AUTOHAUS Kinetic Exhaust Manifold Are there better manifolds out there around the same price that are compatible with the K04?
