Ok so I got my baby back from the shop a couple of week's ago and for some reason my driver side HID keep's burning up the ballast, i took it back to my guy in which i still have a warranty on them and he changed the ballast....that's fine but for some reason the bulb instead of burning light blue (I have 8K) it started burning light green -__- so i thought to my self ok ill wait till my next check to buy a new bulb,So a couple of day's later the same HID goes out!!!! so im like WTF i take it back to the guy and he put's in something called a canceler and a spanking new ballast that he took out of a new box that came in and stuffed it in there.....so the same day Im going to school and i get a warning beep that my light is out AGAIN!!!! WTF!!!!! any idea guy's have you guy's had this problem before????

Wow that's crazy. I would take the whole thing apart and start over. Make sure the wires are hooked up correctly. I've installed HID's on a few cars and never had this issue. I would just restart and try to narrow the issue.

 

make sure the ballast is not grounding out.

 

I'm thinking the bulb is screwed up - the color shouldn't change and if the same bulb keeps killing ballasts then get another bulb. Try cleaning the metal cups that the bulbs sit against in the housings and be sure no conductors innthe wires and connectors are exposed.

 

I'm gonna try and get the setup from one of my lower fogs which are also HID and 8K
