How to disable tilt sensor???
I recently noticed when I park my car on an incline, sometimes I will come out and the lights will be flashing for no reason. I think this might be the tilt sensor. Is there any way to turn it off? The car is a 2001 A4 Quattro 2.8 . Thanks in advance
The windows are rolled up. The alarm isn't going off, just the lights are flashing and it is only happening when I am on a sharp incline. I know some cars have a switch to disable this function but I can't seem to find one on my car.
There is no such thing as a "tilt" sensor in our cars, its your interior motion detector, there should be a button with the symbol of a car, with a small led, located on the driver side pillar, right behind the driver seat, press it and it either, activates or deactivates the car's motion detector, when the car's alarm is set. Its a security feature, for when someone breaks in your car.
The small led, will lite red for activated and dim, when deactivated.
Whenever i lock my car and leave the windows or sunroof open, the alarm goes off from the wind, blowing through the car. I turn it off,so i don't have to keep, turning off the alarm.
Sounds like yours,is on the frits, being it goes off, when your car is at an incline, deactivating the motion detector, should stop the lights from flashing.
