Default Hubcentric rings

So as some of you may have mentioned in my other thread ill most likely need hubcentric rings. You were right. Wheels bores way bigger. Very noticeable on the highway. I have the wheels on the car now without the rings. Will cause any damage? Do i want metal rings or are plastic fine? Should i order em online or can i just buyem somewhere?

Probably online will be cheaper and plastic is fine. As for running without them, be very careful - its easy to mount them slightly off center, which can stress and break them. Happened to me with the Volk AV3s I ran on my 300ZX. You're best waiting til you get the rings though.

Stock hub bore on a B5 is 57.1mm. You're gonna have to figure out the bore on your wheels though. Where did you buy them? What brand are they? Can you take a pic of the inside of the center section of one of the wheels.?

I bought them on craigslist. They are 17x8 BBS Moda Sports. I guess Ill take one of them off and take a pic. Such a pain in the *** to line it up without the rings though lol.

I know hubcentric rings are supposed to be more like this : http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=...PUBMAY&dur=367

But these look almost like adaptors and spacers combined? Or am I just confused and if you get spacers you dont need rings? Im new to all this stuff so any help would be appreciated. Do I need longer wheel lugs/bolts to put these on?

Thanks, Sheasta

Those are hub centric/wheel centric spacers. Looks to be about 10mm, get some extended bolts if you want to run those.

Ok thanks. So I should just go to like advance auto or something like that and ask for extended bolts.
