HYDRAULIC CLUTCH PROBLEMS?
Well I have been having a problem with my 97 for awhile now and need some help. Whenever I depress the clutch in the morning and let it out to catch first or reverse, there is a loud hissing/swooshing noise. It only does this on the first engagement every single time but then it stops... I had the clutch replaced this weekend -everything- and it still makes the noise. The hydraulic system had no leaks and the fluid looks good. It sounds to me like the clutch master cylinder might be going out or the slave needs to be replaced but I am at my wits end. Any help would be much appreciated... Thanks
the the clutch cylinder is above the tranny or all incased in the bell housing it usually inspected and or changed when a clutch job is done. im really freaking tired now and probably talking out of my @$$ but what do you mean hissing, like a loose air hose or mechanical sounding. also any difference in the fell of the clutch or drivability.
Further Detail: the noise is like opening a Coke can. Every first engagement,,, when the car has been sitting for awhile. Coming from the driver side, around the firewall... HELP!!!!
