seems like the car would have just stalled out, and stopped after a few feet. Especially with the ebrake on...

And plus 100 for claiming someone stole it and hit the neighbors house... thats def what i would have done.

Still doesn't make sense if the e brake was engaged. I smell foul play. Dad was drunk and accidently launched it into the neighbors general direction. Unable to gain control of the raw k04 power, he jumped out mid way so that he would not be seen at the scene of the crime. Thoroughly check him for any scrapes, bruises, beer stained clothes, and interview neighbors in hopes to obtain an eye witness.

Or, think outside the box...

Dad knew full well what he was up to. You know he doesn't want you seeing his daughter. Not just because you always block the spot for trash pickup, but also because if she ends up marrying you, she will be marrying into a spriral of debt aquired by your mistress Audi. He just wants what is best for his daughter. Explain that to your insurance provider.

I have heard of this happening, the remote start continues to attempt to start the car after each stall so it limps down the street. I have heard of one guy who came out to see his car nosing up to a telephone pole over and over and over. And there is no way it is you gf's father's fault. My dad left my car in gear once when we were working on it, I got in stepped on the clutch, started the car, and let the clutch pedal go thinking it was in neutral; the car lurched forward, tire stopped on my dad's foot, and the nose plowed him into the ground. Now he doesn't go near the car when I am starting it but I don't blame him.

Thanks for all your input everyone. I know it really isn't my g/fs dads fault. He really couldnt have known honestly. He has a manual car also and leaves his car in gear so it was just a habbit for him. He had no clue that I even had an auto start.

Like I said, I got an estimate done and they said about 1900 in damage to my car. I'm still waiting to hear back from the homeowners to find out what kind of damage was done to their house. When I went to my insurance agent this afternoon, he just kinda laughed and said he's never failed a claim like this before with property damage without someone actually driving the car.

All in all, its kinda funny and strange and kinda sad all at the same time. In the end its just money and my car will be fine in a couple of days. I'll just always remember this you know. It kinda sucks because the money I know have to spend to get the car fixed I wanted to spend on a new stage 2 clutch maybe two more weeks I guess
