right but an s4 is alot of money considering i won't buy anything over 100,000 miles on it. So do you think it would be more economical for me to buy the supercharger instead of going through the hassle of selling my car and all the hassle that comes with that and just supercharging it? Or should i wait 2 years, lol, and save money to buy me an S4 which will be 9 years old by then? Sorry about posting in the wrong area btw.

So the PES won't work? How did people post videos on youtube of their 2.8 12 valves running the PES G2 then?

no one has been able toor really tried to crack the hitachi ECU that the 12v's are equipped with
How about a 1.8T and a BT setup.
I do worry about the "teenager with no money". Seriously modding a car decreases its reliability. Unless you know your way around an engine, you are going to spend lots of money at your tuner keeping it running well. No sense having a fast car that doesn't move becuase you can't pay the mechanic to find out what is wrong.
My suggestion, is to take a deep breath, and enjoy your car for what it is and save your money.

Wow guys, thanks for the input, it's been really helpful. I've decided that I'm going to start saving some money for an S4 and sell my car once I can afford the new one. Im also only going to chip the S4, nothing else so there's not an excessive amount of wear on the engine and so it lasts. Thanks again,
Mike

I hate seeing a saturn **** on me, it's pretty depressing. Im thinking about an 01 S4 and I've been browsing through the classifieds lately, there have been a few that have caught my attention. I really like the Nogaro Blue, it's such a nice color, i'm kind of getting tired of my Brilliant black.
look on overstock.com.......there are older s4's for sale at dealers..... find one within decent driving distance, and trade your a4 for it..... if it is mostly or all paid off, you could probably swing the monthly
I paid cash for my a4 so there's no monthly payments or any type of fees due on it. Would i get more money selling my a4 or trading it in for an s4? Theres a kid i go to school with who wants to buy my car for $7400, I paid $5800 out the door. And another question; will insurance be more on an S4 than it is on my A4, because as of right now, I'm paying $208 a month in insurance.
A. Yes insurance will be more on an S4, think about it, two turbo's + a lot more HP then a 12v, you do the math, insurance is gonna hit you hard.
If he wants to pay 7,400 for your car, sell it to him, think about it, you would be making a huge profit on a 12 year old Audi that usually sells for around 4k. Don't trade it in because you will basically get nothing from the dealer since it's such an old car and they would have to then sell it to a used car lot so that it can be resold because dealers don't stock cars more than a few years old.
My personal thought would be for the time being, sell the 12v, pick up a 1.8t and then go BT, to thwamp your friends Saturn and save you some insurance and repair money.(just the thoughts of a fellow 12v'er and college kid with little money to his name) After College, pick up an S4 and have a blast when you have all that disposable income.
