Im about to buy Coilovers, help me choose!!!
So i saved up around 1300 for coilovers. looking for a decent set on my FWD 98 audi a4. i wanted something with dampening adjustability so that i can improve the ride quality to be less harsh since my girlfriend and especially me don't like an overly harsh ride.
everywhere i go and people i ask, currently use or have owned the H&R street perf. coilovers. but those don't have dampening adjustability. does anyone here who own these can account for the ride quality? (even though there are no dampening adjustable settings.)
im a daily driver who does simple commutes to work. nothing crazy. im a careful driver. work is about 5 miles away side streets, live in southern california so i have no snow. i dont care to race either.
anyone recommend a set of coilovers for me??
i was thinking FK Konigsport coilovers...but i swear i don't know any B5 owners who run them. KW's seem cool but they too have no dampener adjustability. TEIN works too but my buddy has them on his integra...feels like a cheap import ride and a very harsh ride..Vogtland coilovers ive heard are popular but don't know much more about them but i do know they are a little cheaper in price(with coilovers i know u get what you pay for)
Thanks to all you guys the past couple of weeks for helping me with suspension

Since you live in SoCal and have no snow or major seasonal issues, do you really need coilovers? Do you plan on changing ride height periodically? If you planned to slam it in summer and raise it for winter weather then they'd make sense. But given the steady climate doesn't make that necessary, why not get struts and springs for a static drop, be lower, save some cash, and be done with it?
HELL YES! My brother and I have been talking about how we should have just gotten 2.8s and dumped them onto bags.

This are really the best coil-overs money can buy. The Bilstein PSS9 Coil-Over Kit, but I don't know if they make them for your year/model.
