? Injector swap ? To diagnose misfire 2.8 30v 5v a4 aha
Hi. Dealing with a misfire in cyl 1 only, and only occurs at idle. But, Can run under load all day and not throw code. I've ruled out plug, wire, and coil. Have replaced most vac lines and have also done testing to try to identify a vac leak and can't find any. So, I'm thinking it may be injector, OR, I at least need to rule out injector.
Questions:
1) Should i be be able to loosen bolts to fuel rail and simply pull out injector #1 and Swap with one other injector and then resinatall to test (without disconnection fuel lines, and/or without having to re-oring)
2) any other likely culprits for a cyl 1 misfire that only occurs at idle?

Not an expert here but I replaced all my injectors a while ago. And if I remember correctly I did not disconnect any fuel lines. Just moved the fuel rail out of the way. Don't forget to pull the fuel pump fuse and start the car and let it run out of fuel to relieve the pressure - then disconnect the negative battery terminal. also make sure no debris falls into the injector ports. Don't forget goggles/glasses.
Thanks for replying. Those are all good reminders and what I am planning to do. Glad to hear about not disconnecting fuel lines.
Hoping to be able to swap 2 around (to further diagnose my miss on cyl 1) and mess with the other 4 as little as possible. Might end up putting new orings on all later, but want to eliminate misfire on cyl 1 before spending time and money on other parts/takes.
Thanks again for your post.
