ok so i have a 1997 audi a4, and i want to put a short ram intake on it.. last time i had an intake on my car it messed my maf sensor up. i am now apr stage 1 i dont know if that makes a difference but i see people that have short rams on their 1.8ts all the time and i dont know how. does anyone know why my maf sensors get messed up?

 

The maf usualy get's messed up from the oil off the air filter

 

yeah oil will coat the element of the maf causing it to get the wrong reading and causing ur car to run too lean or too rich. i used a k and n drop in on my 01 a4 1.8 and about a month later it went into limp. i bough a carboino intake and a new maf and now no issues.
