Oh, and for some reason, I couldn't figure out how the pipe with the small connection pipe fits, because it seemed to be 180 degree offset. I ended up using 2x 90 degree plastic elbows from hardware store (for sprinkler systems), screwed them together and made a 180 to fit. I assume it is my limited brain power, can't believe that everyone is making it wrong. But works just fine.

The reason I want a 3in is because 034 sells a kit and it comes with a 3in but with that hose kit I posted

I thought you said you were going Frankenturbo? That turbo is not going to give you 350-450hp. lol

Have you seen what a 3" FMIC looks like behind a stock bumper? Like the bumper is bursting at the seams.

Someone elses B5 with a 3" thick core.

I had a 3" with my stock bumper and it was a tight fit without the AC core.

034 tubing says: Use with intercooler assembly dimensions of 31-32" wide

your intercooler is Air-to-Air Intercooler w/ end tanks (Core Size: 22"W x 9"H x 3.25" thick)

core size never includes the end tank measurement, you have to add about 6"(3" for each side) plus about 3" total for the inlet/outlet, adding those will give you the "end to end" measurement. So a core that is 22" wide will be 28" with end tanks and about 31" from end to end.

I am still learning but thanks you guys. The reason i said those numbers was because that was what i would want to be making in the end but that will not be for awhile.
I know a frankenturbo won't get me that much power.
What would you guys recommend then as far as a Fmic for a frankenturbo setup?

2.5" pipe is for a turbo pushing 500+whp, not for something making 250whp.
