intermittent starting issue

I have a 1998 A4 1.8t that intermittently won't start. Car will start then die and won't start again. After letting it sit a few minutes it sometimes will start or just do the same thing again. Any ideas???

Have the codes read, even if you don't have a CEL.

Had codes read. Came up with codes for MAF & Coolant Temp Sensors. Both have been replaced problems still persists and we still get same codes.
