Default Introduction. First time Audi/Euro Car owner. One problem.

Hello Audi owners/future Audi owners/previous Audi owners/lurkers

I just picked up my first Audi/first european car.
2001 SILVER A4 2.8 144,443 miles clean title/clean carfax $3,600 clean in and out. just an oil leak that my mechanic is not worried about. and some dings. other than that. perfect. runs new. breaks new. puts a **** eating grin on my handsome face. I've already gotten compliments on it from a lot of people in my only 2 days of ownership. then i tell them the price and their jaws drop. i never buy high mileage vehicles.
I'm impressed. picked it up cause all I had was a C5 Vette (mint condition 63kmiles). Needed a real daily.
got way below bluebook price from an auction house here in Los Angels. it arrived at the auction house just as i did. therefore the steal, otherwise it wouldn't have lasted long there. i wasn't aiming for an Audi that day, just a beater with a budget. but i always did want an Audi. I honestly really did and considered one for months. always loved the lambogallardos. i will have one oneday. i've also always admired european and and most especially german auto engineering. so truth be told i almost cried when i saw this baby. i wanted a beater, i left with a way underpriced near perfect 2001 a4 2.8 thank you, God. I had no idea how fast these cars really were! Im a c5 vette owner btw. so that coming from me... well, im happy with this audi of mine. I will admit that my knowledge in regards to 2001 a4 2.8's is quite low. so feel free to tell me all bout em

****PROBLEMS I need YOUR help with. i hear rumbling/vibrations from the rear. i think most likely driver rear side when making U-turns and some times it comes up at random speeds. I think it loves to show up often at 80 mph. It's making me sleep a little uneasy at night. Please help me sleep easy. thanks AUDIFORUMS

Check for bad wheel bearings - they'll cause noises like you describe and these cars eat them a lot.

Well it'll be about $50-$60 for the part I think then you'll have to pay a shop to press it out and press the new one back in. If you have a mechanic to all the work then probably a couple hundred bucks. If you do the work and just have him press it then it'll be a lot cheaper.
