Default Its Good to be back! ^_^

Hey fellas, its good to be back on the B5 forums,i am sorry i didn't join you fellas at last weekends camping meet,i had to get a AVH-P4300 installed in my B5,I'll come to the next meet, before the summer is over.

I started a new job and moved, since the last meet, hence the reason i haven't been on the forum lately but I'll make myself visible more, being i have the weekends off and i am having issues with Audina. ^_^

Shot out to the fellas i met at the last meet:
Wally
Dave
Bill
Pat
Eric
Chris
Zack
Jeremy
Tyler
Joon
Emil
Nick

Sorry of i left anyone i met out the list,I'm surprised i remembered that many people from that long ago.

Audina Has just went under the wrench,i fixed a major oil leak,it was coming from the rear main seal and another smaller oil leak from the oil filter housing seal.

I got them both done for $630.00,now don't get me wrong,i winced at the price but I don't complain about the cost of repair and maintenance, this had to be done,no other way around it.

I also had the Air pump hose replaced but i am not sure if that fixed the issue, check engine light came back on after i drove it 60 miles with the same codes. Secondary Incorrect air flow and Brake boost Failure, before i got the hose replaced, when i come to a complete stop,my engine would stall and idle ruff, then it would go back up above 1000 RPM and be fine, then after i drive it for awhile,it doesn't do it anymore,it happens more when i first drive it,then it fades out after awhile. then about 2 weeks ago,i came to a complete stop,it stalled then the engine cut off,i had to put it back in park and start it back up,that's when i bring it to a shop,no more mucking around.

After getting the Air pump hose replaced,I don't get the stalling or ruff idle, when coming to a complete stop anymore but the check engine light came back on with those 2 codes, that were there before i had the air pump hose changed. Maybe it with something else? They said the hose had a hole in it,so i am assuming it was the problem but i guess not. Here is a scan i did with my ebay vag-com.

I didn't clear it so i can bring it back to the shop, where i got the Air pump hose replaced, they claimed that was the problem, technically it doesn't do what it did before,so i guess they did fix the stalling and ruff idle issue but the check engine light did come back with the same codes, before the hose was replaced.

I have a reason for not complaining, number one reason is because i just plain am in love with the B5,she is the most sexy Mid sized sedan for her year and class.

Second reason is,i can't afford to pay a 300+ car not every month,i would rather spend 630.00 once every couple months to keep my B5 running, than purchase a newer car,or another used car with a unknown maintenance history, with Audina,i know what has been done to her and when and why.

I just moved to another city and i swear, everywhere i go i see a B5,everyone else feels the same way i do about the B5,people just love the body style and interior.

The maintenance and repair costs is just the price of admission to a very privileged group of car owners

Hey Morpheous, welcome back!

You know, I had those codes once, and it turned out to be that I had misrouted one of the vacuum lines when I replaced them this past winter. Could that be a possibility?

Thank you friend,

Well,i never got any vacuum lines replaced on Audina,so maybe the issue is a vacuum line?

I'm thankful that my B5 only has 2 codes and 1 check engine light lit.
