Default k03s with k04 software?

I was offered a k03s from a 2000 a4. I was wondering if I can run the PC-16 giac file with injectors, fpr, and fmic with this turbo or is it not compatible? Thanks in advance

my guess is no, but you may be able to get away with the standard ko4 software....

I am not 100% sure, but I have never heard of someone running a ko3s on ko4 software...

I was thinking about doing the same thing. Here's what I've gathered from discussions with Cincy and Mike@DTH: If you're already chipped, it's best just to go with a MBC and live tune your car. The money spent on injectors and a PC-16 file with a K03s might net you 5-10 horsepower if you're lucky. Is that really worth a $500 chip + $200 for injectors? Plus, pushing a K03s that hard will not net you more power over the rev band, it will just come on a bit faster... and fall off a bit faster. PC-16 really is a hair too much for K03s, as it is really the max a K04 can be pushed.

If you have a 97-99 you won't be able to "live tune" with a mbc because you won't be able to use lemiwinks to tweak timing, richness, and all the other tweaks that can be done. DBC engine ECU's don't talk to lemi. I'd think a k03s would be fine with a k04 chip, at least for a while! The k04 does flow better and has a beefier journal bearing.

But a 2000 doesn't have a K03s, it's got a K03-29!!! K03s was only the K03-11, 52 and 53.

Spending money on either is pointless. Just install it and let the maf and o2 correct for the few added g/s of flow if you want to run it. Not going to see much of a gain with it, and may only see a tiny bit more if you spend the $700 or w/e on tune + injectors.
