i was thinking of buying it but should i have any fear of it blowing my engine etc?

i'm going to say no. these engines are built to take some upgrades. as for the brakes and suspension you're going to need to keep an eye on because they weren't built to take any extra stress.

No you won't blow it up... I ran a K04 with the aggressive GIAC PC-16 file and didn't have any problems. What year car do you have?

im not sure a k04 could put out enough power to blow your engine even if you wanted to. unless your running very lean and/or without an intercooler.
