Hey guys, I'm upgrading my turbo this weekend because the k03 went out. I decided to just go with the k04. I'm wondering what all needs to be changed during this job. I'm replacing all the washer and whatnot, but do I also need to change the oil feed/return lines? If so, do I need OE lines, or can I get those plain oil feed lines off of ebay?

 

ebay=epic fail... check out ecs-tuning.com for the lines. ebay is mostly junk parts and i wouldnt trust ebay with oil and coolent lines.

 

Thanks for the tip. Is it necessary that I change all the lines running to and from the turbo(oil and coolant), or can I keep using the same ones?

 

As i've heard its usually good to upgrade your exhaust. Some people don't but others do. (also what i plan to do before my turbo upgrade) I would replace the lines, all of them.

 

No point in spending all that money on a new turbo if your hardware could be a grenade...ecstuning is a great website, btw

 

make sure replace all of ur vacuume lines if you havnt done so yet as well. when i helpd babykito out his were dry rotted to hell and so were mine when i replaced mine

 

Yeah def do that and I hope your DV is upgraded.....

 

I plan on replacing my DV when I get the money to upgrade my ECU. For now I'm just swapping out the turbo but I want to make sure that I swap everything out that I need to so it doesnt make my new k04 **** out sooner than it's supposed to.
