2000 A4 Avant, when i got this car it came with some aftermarket key fob, so its circuitry in it isnt original. Anyway i have this small "issue" where the trunk button wont actually release the lock on the trunk, doesnt matter if the car is closed or open. The trunks manual lock shaft is missing due to an attempt of stealing the car, and sometimes it rotates over the solenoid, locking it. Now i mainly fixed this by tying it down from the inside and blocking the lock from the outside, but it still happens sometimes. It would be good to have this feature. I know that the car recognises the button because the turn signals will flash 3 times but it just doesnt open. The electronic buttons on the trunk itself work.
I dont know if it matters in this case but the immobilizer was turned off with vag-com a while ago, but i remember it not working even before that.
Central Convenience is also off since the windows dont roll down with the fob, looking to get that turned on soon, maybe that could be the cause?
