Hey everybody. i have a 99 1.8T with 130,000 miles as of about two weeks ago it started making an annoying knocking noise that increases with engine speed. There are no trouble lights on and i change my oil and filter regularly..

Any ideas

 

Valve knock is what that is. Knocks are never good so while off the top of my head I can't think of what it is, have your valves checked out. You may have damaged one.
