Hey Im getting ready to do some upgrades to my car. I have a 1.8t front wheel drive manual 2000 a4.

I have been researching the forums about getting the ko4 and chip. i really dont want to go crazy on horsepower because i want reliability. But I do want a little more power than my stock rating of 150 hp.

My question is is there a chip that I can buy thats already preset to just me upgrading to the ko4? I just want to be able to use stock injectors, etc. How much power am I expecting with just those two upgrades. Do I really need to buy an exhaust system? (Does it make a big difference in power? Can I just use an s4 exhaust system?) I know I would probably need to upgrade my clutch in the near future. I also want a oem stock clutch feel that would be able to handle the k04.

contact cincy or brrman if there still here. you can run a ko4 on teh stock tune on a regular chip or a dedicated k04 tune but the latter may require additional mods. a simple giac or apr upgrade should suffice, i doubt you want something like a pc-16 tune. the only difference between teh k03 and k04 is that the k04 is a bit more efficent throughout the rev range.
