Default Lack of boost low temperature please help

Hello fellow B5 owners.

I got into my car today, was driving along and put my foot down to be slapped in the face with the unbearable feeling of no boost. The car drives fine otherwise, no groans, no leaking hissing noises, no lights on the dash. What is did notice was that on the drive, which was fairly long and stop start like that the temperature guage NEVER reached the middle 90 degrees marker. It strayed close, but then retracted slightly to about the 80 degrees mark.

Recently i renewed my temperature sensor, and needed to top up my coolant with water. There is roughly .8 of a litre of water in it currently.

Does anybody have any suggestions before i book it to a mechanic?

Thanks in adv

by water you mean water out of the sink or is that whats its called over seas? i saw you used metrics so i assume your over seas. Lack of boost usually is a boost leak, do you have a boost guage in the car?

Hey all

I managed to fix it using the VAG com. The TPS for some reason reset itself and wouldn't adapt until a VAG-COM was used. Had some errors, which were cleared and have not come back yet
