lcd center display help

Default lcd center display help

have an 01 audi a4 1.8t quattro, i know these models have the common lcd display that go out. When i start the car the lcd screen turns on and works fine after it says ok the lcd goes black. do i need to replace the whole display or maybe a bad fuse?

Push the button on the bottom side of the wiper stalk, the LCD screen can be turned on/off using that switch. Holding the same button will reset whatever item is being displayed by the LCD

The telltale sign that the LCD is going bad is that individual lines on the display start going out over time, like many years. If that's not happening then I doubt it's the LCD itself.
