loaner 2009 A4 while i awaited the grim news on my A4 B5

sheesh, that Audi stealership must have a bunch of bums working there, they only charged me 10.00 for the 2009 A4.
I am thinking about rebuilding the tranny,i was quoted, somwhere around 1,500-1,700.00 or so,the guys that rebuilds trannies, said he'd have to open it up and look at the damage,to see how much it will cost.
I rather have the price it woud cost to rebuilt, the whole tranny and not only the defective/broken parts to be replaced.
He wants me to call him monday,he has 3 trannnies to rebuild by monday,so i guess i'll know his price, only after he has Audina's heart on a bench for surgery.

Morpheous, just my 2 cents, Shokan charges up the *** for every part it sells. Being in CT, there are a whole bunch of junk yards around you....you have the option of going up to hartford or driving down to the Bronx in NY. I'm from NY, and I can tell you, I usually find parts at LKQ (www.lkqcorp.com) and Hunt's Point, there's also a location in Milford.
As far your oil question, maybe this link can help...http://forums.audiworld.com/showthread.php?t=343602

Shokan has one at 58.000 miles for 1275.00,you don't think thats a cheap price for the milege? if i can get a used tranny, with low milege at this place in Hartford or milford connecticut for a decent price,i'll go for it but i keep running into high milege trannies and i don't even know if the tranny has been damaged in a accident or not.
I am thinking of a rebuild but i am not sure,i need to know how much the guy is going to charge me first. Rebuilding is always better than replacing, being i know what i got in there, while i won't with a tranny i pull from a junk yard, yeah it's more expensive but i'd have piece of mind, knowing i won't have another tranny issue for another 100.000 miles.

Phil dude honda is cheap to own and "modified" and 95% of people who own one they still relly on mom and dad walet or from the $8/h job they have to pay the parole officer or child support so u see why honda is the car of choice for so many people
