the car I'm looking at has 199k on the body, but only 30k on the engine. a lot of the major stuff (clutch, vac lines, suspension) have been replaced along with the engine or after, but i'm still concerned about how reliable this non-engine aspects of the car will be. any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated.

I would check out the newbie guide at the top of the B5 section, there is alot of good info in there. Which engine are you looking at?
