Was looking at new rims..need help 1996 A4
I just purchased a 1996 A4 2.8 quattro. not familiar with theese cars, drove a mustang in the past and didnt really like the rims for the audi looking for something different I just have no idea what fit and or whats good. Some good ones on cl but not sure. dumb questions but up to what year A4 rims will fit, what size all that and will a6 rims work. Let me know im dumb with this. Thanks
You can interchange wheels from an A6 if you wanted to. The bolt pattern is 5 X 112. If you want audi specific replica wheels check out http://www.hartmannwheels.com/1-425-.../wheels/Audi/1
Another good source of aftermarket wheels is www.tirerack.com. Google is your friend here.

Your other friend is the classifieds here. Guys selling wheels from their A4s are a sure fit. If you upsize the most common is 18x8 or so with 5x112 bolt pattern and offset around +35 to +38. Run a 225-40-18 tire and your speedometer and odometer stay virtually the same as on stock rolling gear.
That person is dumb. 96-01 wheels are interchangeable (the S4 would need at least a 16" wheel - the 15" wheels that some A4s had wouldn't clear the brakes). You can also use later model A4 wheels but you may need spacers.
