Looking for some advice.
Hey guys,
I'm going to try and refrain from any questions answered in the stickies, but forgive me if I slip up.
I am currently looking at a couple of B5 A4's on Craigslist and was wondering if anyone in the CNY area might be able to give me a hand to go check them out. I know what I am looking for in an Audi, just unsure of what to look at when buying a used one and how to make sure I'm not spending more than I should.
One is a 98.5 with 150k miles on it, was the seller's daily driver and just upgraded to a newer Audi. Here is the ad for anyone that is curious 1998 Audi Quatro A4.
Another is also a 98.5, but with 170k. Link: 1998 audi a4 quattro 5 speed
The last is an 00, with 150k and a misfire in cylinder for.
Link: 2000 audi a4 1.8t quattro silver/black leather CLEAN!
If anyone might be able to give me a word of advice or maybe even go and check out one of two of them with me, I would really appreciate it.

I heard the coil packs go bad a lot on these. Theres a good chance on that 2000 one that it only needs a coil on cylinder four if not new spark plugs. The one with 170k looks pretty clean from the pictures but youll have to go see it in person. Also the 98 with 150k looks pretty decent too. Im surprised theres no rips on the drivers seat (that you can tell anyway). But youll have to go see them in person for sure. Its hard to tell with just pictures. Ones that mention maintenance are your friend though. Preferably timing belt done recently.

They are probably selling because they could not fix it themselves.
