if you have a 1.8t and put on s4 springs, you might as well go offroading too. you can put on sports springs on your stock shocks and it'll be fine. most aftermarket lowering springs go lower than the sports springs and will mess up your shocks in no time.

audacity, you have to look at your springs to be able to tell

So I am getting Vogtland lowering springs and I have sport suspension. There supposed to lower the 2.8 by 1.4" I was planning on getting Bistein shocks eventually but am curious if my stock shocks will be able to handle it for a while.

That won't always tell you - I have the sport wheel and non-sport suspension. And like Hiwords was saying, I believe the sport SPRINGS are red, not the struts.

if you have sport suspension your shocks will be red...

the steering wheel tells you nothing....

post a pic of your ride and I will be able to tell if you have sport suspension...

if you do have red shocks then you can just toss on lowering springs...

if you have non-sport shocks, I would recommend getting new shocks as well...however you will be able to run lowering springs on non sport shocks....you prolly shouldn't go beyond sport springs tho...race springs will be too much for the non sport shocks and they will give out on you....

the 3 spoke steering wheel was an aditional option that you could get for non sport cars as well...
