Manual flywheel fits on auto crank. Is this right cuz it fits pics inside

there is a diy on audizine done by biketsai, correct me if i spelled his sn wrong. he pretty much lays everything out for you. good luck

I've never done internal work like that. Im not sure I could do it.

Here is Chris's DIY, this was done on his 2001 A4 1.8t which has a 06A block while you have a 058 block. So there might be a slight diffence in the crank flanges.

Picture of the bearing he used as a pilot bearing. I have another customer that lives here in socal that did the tip to manual swap on her B5.5 Passat 1.8t. She too used the same bearing and also went with a CM clutch/flywheel kit.

SO I grind the crank. Install flywheel and place this bearing in flywheel and then bolt tranny up?

Bring it and the pilot bearing to a machine shop and explain what needs to be done.

But I thought you said your flywheel fits on the crank already?

If so then you just need to get that same bearing in the conversion link and place it in the center opening of the flywheel to act as a pilot bearing.

It does fit. So that's it ill be fine? Id hate to put it back together and it not work.
