Max Boost = 4psi . p1338 code have anything to do with it?

Bump!!!
I know this is an old thread but I am having the same problem. Have anyone else had this problem? My car (99.5 A4 1.8T) seems to be in limp mode as well and is showing the P1338 code. I have since replaced the cam position sensor and the code came back. It can’t be boosting more than 4psi cuz like the OP said buses and work vans beet me off the line. A friend of mine was thinking that the cam chain was off a tooth but on another thread it was stated that if that was the case then it would be obvious as the engine would be damaged. Please Please help!!!
Can anyone direct me to the ECU fuse? This Thread is from back in 08 so I am sure that someone out there has overcome this problem.
