Default MIL still flashing...

What is up! Tremendous Thursday to you! So I am sure this topic hasn't been posted umm say three... four million times but I will take the liberty to reset it. Anyways I have a flashing check engine light. I took it to a shop and he told me there were sporadic misfires on all four. Said I needed plugs and all 4 coil packs... and I'm like yeah I'm no tech but I find it highly unlikely all four coil packs failed at the exact same time plus I did plugs 10k ago. Anyways I did some math in my head and found it far more likely to be the Output Control Module. The car is running solid now. No rough misfire run and it no longer smells like a misfire. BUT the MIL is still flashing. Will it need to be reset or does it reset on its own. Do I have another issue that isn't as apparent as a misfire?

I have no idea what the details of your car are, but I can tell you that misfires can be caused by many things.

-Ignition control module before (and including) 99
-Spark plugs - what kind are you using and what are they gapped to?
-Coils - all 4 is indeed unlikely
-Front O2 sensor
-poor exhaust flow (partially clogged catalytic converter or something else)
-Timing off (usually will throw more codes though)
-Vacuum leak
-Coolant temperature sensor

etc...

If your MIL is still flashing then it is for certain still misfiring.
