misfires

Today I was driving on the freeway and was feeling a but spirited so i down shift to fourh and goose it, i shift into fifth and then my cel starts flashing. I have new coil packs and old plugs. any other possible cause for random misfires while driving?
ps the codes were p0300 and p0302 multi cylender mifire and cylnder number 2 misfire.

You should know the drill. Replace and gap the plugs and then rotate the packs to see if the misfires follow the packs.

Its kind of like lather... rinse... repeat. It should be second nature by now

it is I was just making sure there are no bigger gremlins that could be causeing it

Start of simple and work your way up. Just hate it when people spend money on things that are rarely the cause. Mainly 4 new coilpacks when they chip it when all they needed to do was lower the gap on the plugs and replace the Maf when it has nothing to do with the MAF.[:@]

does it make a differance that it happened and then went away. it happened for at wot open throttle long enought to throught the code then about 50ft later it ran fine. I am changing the plugs this morning with some bosh coppers

Just changed the plugs to some new NGKs are oh my god. she is a new car.

Hope you gap them to .028 like you should before the install

but of coarse. i would no longer allow myself to drive such a nice car if I constantly over looked the important but small details.
