Default Misfiring/hesitation question

I have a 1999 auto 1.8t. It seems to be misfiring or something, When car is driven for awhile and i try to accelerate it acts like its gonna die and then will take off after a few sputters or in mid throttle when driving it, it will have a quick cut out. I've replaced all four coils, anyone have any ideas or had the same problem?

have you changed spark plugs recently? they could be worn, or the ICM could be going. you could have sprung a leak somewhere in your intake system. go get your codes read you probably have one stored even if your CEL isnt on.

its probably an ignition coil. They all have around the same life expectancy so if one goes out, save the trouble and get them all replaced. I found out the hard way

He said he replaced all his coil packs. bHe has a 99 so it's probably the ICM.
