Your going to have to get a new resonator unless you want them to go down from 2.5 to the stock 2.17 resonator than back up to 2.5 after that...

I'm against buying the name brand ****... because i have a guy at a muffler shop rig up a custom system any way i want with the same mufflers for half the price...

i had a custom 2.5in cat back on my saab 2.0t it was 350$ and included a flex pipe, resonator, magnaflow muffler, the piping, and labor. it sounded pretty good was not loud at all but it had a deeper sound. i think i might go with that and maybe a 3in dp when i get the money.

If you've got a good exhaust guy, that's the best way. But for every 10 muffler shops, there might be one guy that will take care of you with quality parts, welds, and bends. It's just convenient to buy a bolt-up system like a Borla.
