Default My audi is no more :(

well, thanks to alot of ice on a bridge/hill my audi is totaled. no picture to show you but i slid into the back of a suburban at maybe 20 mph.. i was going 25-30mph when I hit the ice.. the rest of the roadway was good but the downslope of the hill/bridge was solid ice. the entire front end is smashed, windshield is shattered(well still in one peice.. but cracked all over) both airbags went off.. even the subs in the back are toast.. both cones are ripped thru (something mayt have hit them) I just got that thing running strong last week.. and last tuesday put full coverage on the car.. good thing too. it's totaled.. no way they will repair a 13 year old car with that much damage. I had to cancel an interview with conway trucking as well. i was headed to interview for a truck driver's spot.. something tells me I won't get it now.

police report (will) state that I wasn't at fault, that it was caused by road conditions and was unaviodable..(the sgt told me that as he was writing it) but insurance won't care, I was the last one to hit so it'll be my fault in thier eyes. there was about 15 cars/trucks involved in 5 wrecks in the same 1/4 mile stretch within 10 minutes of this.. and there were already 2 wrecks in front when it happened (i was trying to stop after the first 2 wrecks happened in front of me) and by the time I mad it to the body shop/tow yard I hear 3 of thier tow trucks were hit also, one by a semi.

I saw it coming and knew there was nothing I could do, SO i just closed my eyes and braced for it. (closed my eyes so the airbag powder wouldn't get in them.. I've been trained how to react in a accident/rollover thru the military).

i'm seriously bummed, that was the best car i've had since I started driving. but Ice wins everytime.

Shitty factor... the sgt That was doing my report told me they were supposed to close the bridge down an hour before the wreck, but couldn't get there intime due to a string of car thefts in the area.

You vultures let the man grieve for his loss at least a week before trying to hack his beloved car in pieces ,shame on you

It's at a body shop awaiting an insurance claim. It's totalled out and the ins company won't let me touch it without etting them total it out and buying it back. Trust me i thought about parting it out but thwre aren't enoufh paets worth it. Even with a 1week old rebuilt motor w/test pipe. We spent 2500 maybe total incuding buying it. And we ate hoping to get kbb back wich is around 3k
