Default my car studderrs in 1st at times

so sometimes when i stop or moving from a slow start my car starts to studder, the rpms are not going up when this is going on and it's only during first gear going really slow. i have a 2000 a4 1.8tqm if that means anything. also where is the trigger on the door to turn off the dome light. because at times i have to slam the door rather hard to get the light to go off and the door open signal on the dash is not on when this goes on.

There is also the dome light switch over head... But is the car "bucking" or is the engine "sputering"???? also to clearify things... is the clutch engaged or not???

buckin is not good, mine shakes a bit when i start from a full stop but as soon as i get it above 800 rpm it's all smooth. check your mounts, tranny fluid and use vag com to check for tranny codes
