guys! i need help i was wondering for the crank does it have 4 thrust washer's or 2 i only found 2 and i cant remember if it had 2 or 4 any ideas? i think it only uses 2 on the middle part i dint see any other ones just making sure.

also for the main baring #3 i notice the plates have like a canal in the middle but the thing is i know all the bottom ones have the canal like gap in the middle and the top ones are all smooth no canal, what am wondering is on #3 both bottom and top have a canal on the middle that gap like hole thing is this right? just want to make sure lol cant screw up

for those who don't know its on a 1997 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro with AEB engine.

ok so this was my solution for future sludge check it out. drill some hole around kinda big ones but not to big, and NO! it does not by pass the little screen the screen still plays a big roll in holding off anything that is trying to get by those holes i made see the pic that's up close so no more issues down the road..

for thrust washers it should be four of them total. two for the middle cap and two for the block. as for the bearings, the "canals" go in the top and the smooth bearings go in the caps. thats how it was for my motor anyways which is 06a block. im sure 058 is the same, but not positive.

interesting i only have 2 washers in the box when i took it apart i check and dint find 4 only 2 , i even checked on the manual and the diagram only shows 2 washers not 4, when i look for the part on the internet it shows 4 on the set but my washers are long and have a notch and the ones on the set have 4 but the ones with the notch are shorter than what i have.

Like this example here mine are not like this one the tips stick out way more almost all around if that makes any sense.
