Tuned ECU installed! Very happy!

The not so good is I believe I have a boost leak. There is a loud whistle when I get on the throttle.

Next up is replacing the DV, need to find the instructions and I'll be good to go.

 

Got a chance to take out my sending unit and look at it. The wire looked fine. Cleaned the connectors and the sending unit contacts with a pencil. Put it back together and...

The gauge moved from empty! Read about 1/4 which seems about right. It did bounce once when I was driving home though. So I'm just waiting for it to fail again.

 

Gas gauge is still working. Filled up today and shut off at 14.4 gallons. Hope the cleaning is all it needed.


Today I also installed my new DV (stock one from an Audi TT) since I had to because of the tune I got. Very easy. Something I found when I was taking the stock DV out was the vacuum hose the connects to the DV was completly off. Car didn't show any signs of a disconnected vacuum line though. Thought it was odd that having a hose disconnected didn't do anything to performance.

Still need to post pics of my boost gauge install I know. I try and get some up before the end of the week.


Ordered a aFe DRY air filter. Found it on Amazon for around $40 so I got it since the stock one would have been around $15-$20 anyway. Now I don't have to buy another filter, pays for itself pretty much.

 

Good choice on the filter! That's what I run in my car too.

 

Can't wait to see how disgusting the one in there right now looks.
