Default Mystery Metal Piece in Engine

Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum and so far I love the amount of help I have found on here even though I seem to be the minority with the 2.8. Haha. Anyways, I found this metal piece when looking down the oil filler hole with a light and I was wondering if anyone could possibly point me to where it may have come from. I suspect that it would almost have to come from the valvetrain somewhere seeing as it is a pretty large piece that I don't think that could have floated up from anywhere else. Thanks for all the help.

Might be part of the baffle on the inside of the valve covers, no idea how that could've broken off though.

I didn't think that it was too serious since I don't hear any kind of abnormal noise and the piece only shows signs of snapping off on one side while the other side shows signs of having been rubbing on something, but the edge is definitely a machined edge.

Any loose piece inside your motor is bad, I would take that valve cover off and inspect everything just to be safe.
