Default mystery part

on my 99.5 A4 fwd auto, when i changed the altenator i had to remove some rod that connected for the trottle body to what looks like a pump and the plasting bushing basically shattered when I tried to remove it. i dont have and pictures right now but was wondering if anyone knew what that was for and can i just get another plastic bushing.

Do you use cruise control? Whether or not it worked before, it definitely won't work without that rod.

The plastic bushings do seem to get fragile over time. Mine broke a little bit, but was still salvageable. I imagine that plastic bushing could be purchased separately; the hard part would be finding a part number.

no i dont use cruise control, i dont drive that far anywhere and i have no idea if it worked before lol. I'm trying to get everything done that I can to sell it in a couple months but just wanted to make sure that wasnt something pertinent right now. so power steering leak, windshield, tires, and drivers window are to get done first
