Mystery Part...need help identifying
A while back my accessory belt disintegrated due to a bad AC pulley. While inspecting for damage in the engine compartment, I found a severed wire but wasn't sure what it was supposed to be attached to. My "AIRBAG" light activated at the same time of the casualty and I suspect that the wire was once connected to the sensor connector for the airbag. I'd like to just re-connect the wires and plug it back in without taking apart the whole system and running wires. I'm looking for help identifying the part and part number so that a replacement can be ordered. Thanks in advance.
I finally identified the part. It's a connector for the airbag system. I had to order the connector and wires ala carte. Otherwise I would have had to replace an entire wiring harness. I asked the shop, from which I ordered the parts, to pin the wires to the connector since it required special crimping tools. Everything cost me $56 including shipping and once I re-connected the old wires to the new connector, my "AIRBAG" indicator went out. I'm glad this is done and not that expensive.
