Default N249

Where is it? What does it look like?

I changed my alternator and now I get p1287 - Boost Pressure Control Valve N249: Open Circuit

Thanks,
Mike

I think so too.. I was wrenchin under the manifold when I changed out the alternator... does this mean something is leaking or the connection is bad?

My guess is you broke one of the connections to it. The vacuum ones are fragile, and the electrical one probably is easy to break as well. Open circuit sounds electrical to me.

Code is GONE. I played around with all the plugs.. basically pushing them in tightly... Re-scanned and nothing!

Awesome, thanks guys!

under the intake manifold closets to the front, you can bypass it btw, just keep it plugged in electronicly and you won't get a code, also plug the vacum ports on it.

If they're useless, why would Audi have used them?
