Default Need AEB experts. Vac lines.

Hi I’m pretty sure there’s something wrong with how my vac lines are routed. And its causing me rough idle and rpm drops when i shift gears and just stepping on clutch or leaving it in neutral. (like its about to stall). No fault codes either. I’ve searched all over the net along with my ebahn and alldatadiy but I cant find exact diagram for my 97 aeb. Where does the nipple out of the brakebooster vacuum hose check valve connects to (marked blue)??? Also im getting mixed information about the image with the hose marked red. It seems like there should be a T connector instead of just a straight hose with check valve in between leading to the manifold. Please tell me whats the factory routing of this vac lines and also if it needs more check valves or whatsoever. I just wanna get this right. TIA!

Thank you i really appreciate it. First link definitely sheds some light. Saw the others before. I guess its just a matter of connecting a few more dots here and there. Doesnt really show where that integrated check valve from the booster hose connects too. Also if it helps my car is manual quattro aeb euro. I’ll try and dig deeper. Thanks again.

This sucks im still stuck with this. Tried routing that nipple to the intake by using a T connector and adding check valve but to no avail. So i scratch that and just left it how it was and just let it suck air for now. Any leads? Please.

this didnt work
Back to scratch

Anyone? Any leads? Perhaps someone with a 97 1.8t aeb manual can take a picture of theirs? Heck i’ll even pay 20$ for the right photo!

Just out of curiosity - and I do not know if this is okay to do - but could you remove one check valve at a time (and replace just with a hose and to determine if one of the check valves is faulty.
