Hi im currently listing down all the key pieces for my 3" custom exhaust build. Im still at stock under the hood atm. All ive got upgraded is the r1 dv. Im planning on having a bt setup gtrs or gt28rs in the long run after i get these little pieces out of the way. So here's what i jotted down so far for the exhaust. Let me know if you got better in mind. I'm just afraid it might just get ricey loud.

Downpipe 3", Audi B5 1.8t Stock Fitment + race cat from o34 motorsport
3 options for muffler :
magnaflow 14298 / 14149 race series / borla xr1 40944

Then i'll just find a good local exhaust shop here in WA to put it together.

Seems like a nice setup. I just run open downpipe so I'm not much help

 

My buddy has the Magnaflow on his Focus with a full custom 2.5" race spec True Bendz exhaust. I think he has the 14298 and on his 2.3 Duratec it turns heads in a good way.

 

Thanks guys. Yeah 14298 sounds a safer option (loud wise) but will it be a big difference in flow wise compared to the other 2 race series? Forgive my noobness, its my first time putting on custom exhaust. Anyone have a race series on a 3 inch setup here? I heard sound clips but on different cars and its really hard to tell of that.
