Default Need to replace RF bearing

So I need to replace my right front bearing, however you have to get a whole new knuckle and everything cause its all built in. Well I've been looking for a right front knuckle all over denver salvage yards. Well the first guy I talked to says on the knuckle arm itself theres a letter. Well I have the letter "R" The guy at the salvage yards says it has to do with the size of the bearing. Well he had 10 knuckles and none with the letter R, just TR's TC's, AC's and whatever else he had. Well so I called around to the 30 other salvage yards around denver. Wouldn't you know, no one knows what the hell Im talking about with the letter thing. They just have a bearing size 82mm and what not. Now this salvage guy has been working with german cars for a while but what do you guys think? Does he know what he's talking about? Or how can I find out what size bearing it is.

well ecstuning.com sells the front wheel bearing so i'm pretty sure you can just change the bearing. i got my spindle from a salvage yard too and they never asked for any letter. i'm pretty sure all the quattro spindles are identical

Why are you trying to replace the entire knuckle? Remove the knuckle and have a new bearing pressed in. The bearings and hubs can be purchased at any Audi dealer or from PureMS or ECS Tuning.
