Ok today I got an oil change 165 on the OD. The thing that puzzles me is I went back to the dealer from where I purchased the A4 and they used synthetic 5w30 and a MANN oil filter. Dealer swarr he would only use factory replacement parts and sevices.

Thanks for that oil filter tidbit. Today will be the second time I take the A4 to the slopes. We finally got some snow, it's look nice once again. The car now has 166k mile and all is well but winter is not over yet.

Today the 1.8T runs good the rubber bushing are not liking the cold weather. If the temp is above 36 the noise stops. My plan is in the spring remove the wheels and clean and spray all the rubber. I went for a drive today up the interstate today and flogged the **** out of her. This is good to do every now and them just to clean her out.

Ok my emissions code was on again so I cleared it on Sunday. Skiming the owners manual says don't let car idle for a long period of time due to emissions HMMMMM. So as of Monday I have stopped letting the car warm up at idle. Tuesday no code yet. I am going in for bearings.

Today new rear bearings are going in this aught to be costly. I can remember someone commenting on the money one can soak into the Audi he or she is not wrong. I was able to go for a month and 24 day's with out any parts being replaced, so far that is a record for the 1.8t.

Yup new bearings in the rear and it was costly, but I will never have to do it again. This has given the A4 a much better ride. These roads are going to destroy my car I can only slow down so much, where is spring. I guess I should be looking at this as I own the Audi not the banks so putting money into it is still cheaper than a loan. I am hoping to go two months without any repairs keep your fingers crossed.

Well it has been about 2 weeks now with the new rear bearings. So far everything is ok, looks like new breaks this summer. So many Audi's so little time. Looking on web sites at newer A4 and WOW would love to trade but $$ is not allowing me to do so.
