I hope you can help please. I have been offered an A4 Quattro Avant 2.8 and am just wanting to get some help/advice/answers to a few questions please.

1 What is the fuel consumption like please MPG?

2 How often and easy is it to change the cam belt on this lovely car?

3 What should I be looking for, aware of when checking this over with a view to a purchase?

Well for one How many miles are on the car? Color etc: Ask for when the last time timing belt was done etc: And if you use 91 or 93 you can get about 320 miles per full gas tank.

 

Hi audi fever thank you for getting back. It has 75k on the clock. Full service history. Only minor marks on paint work that should polish out. Rubber door trims the clips appear to have rusted so will need to replace them otherwise appears a wonderful car.

How often does the cambelt need changing please.

It should've been done by now. If you don't have proof that it was, do it. Safe interval is every 60-70k miles.

 

Yes what he said about every 60k miles. I have a 2.8 As well only problems ive ran into are control arms and Minor stuff. How much does this person want for it?

 

It seems only £500 as person I know has owned as a company car for 12 years. I think its worth buying even if I do need to do the belt as a matter of safety for the engine.
