Do you like your new audi?
Not really new, it has had its share of problems (hub bearings, clogged oil pick up, replaced turbo, rear diff seal replaced, etc) but its been a good car for the most part

How long have you owned it?
4 1/2 years

Why did you decide to buy one?
a friend of mine sold Audi's for a living, got me a good deal on it then

Was there another vehicle you were thinking about before you bought the audi?
E36 M3

Do you like your new Audi?
"new"...it's a love-hate relationship. Snow storms put a smile on my face but my wallet hates me. I wish I had shopped smarter but I paid a lot less for my car than my friends paid for their older and more beat up looking cars

Why did you decide to buy one?
German Engineering keepin' it classy. I was not into the JDM rice-rocket scene. My father had an '85 4000S which I also loved. There were no other Audi's like it in my area until my friend bought a silver B5 about 7 days before me

Was there another vehicle you were thinking about before you bought the Audi?
Test drove a 1998 BMW 328I
Unwillingly looked at a Ford station wagon...
Called about a Civic with a V-TECH engine
Looked at a slightly modded Nissan Maxima/Altima
Mostly shopped for Bimmers and B5s

 

1 only been working on it so far, but it's fun. new engine, timing, clutch, and what ever needs work.

3 Always wanedt an Audi and this just seemed like a good way to get to know one really good.
4 was looking for a car for my daughter, NO she has a Toyota.

 

My girlfriend and I have just purchased a 2000 Audi A4 Quattro. It's got 100,600 miles on it. Clean title. Nice stack of service records. We're in love. My brother was a long time owner of a 1999 A4 identical (mostly) to ours now. It's got the black leather interior and an auto transmission. Hello everybody!

Why did you decide to buy one? I actually traded my 92 Honda Civic for my 2000 A4 1.8T

I was considering a BMW, or a WRX

 

I just bought a '96 Audi A4 and it's my first car. So far I've driven it to the shop to fix a flat and to a drive way to park it while it waits to be seen by a mechanic. Of course I was unwise and didn't have it looked at beforehand so I wasn't aware of this mysterious oil leak that appeared out of nowhere. So far that seems to be the only thing substantially wrong with it. Wait no, my battery died too and I needed a jump. Ugg, if anything else happens to it I'm just taking it back which is a shame because it feels good to drive in. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

i absolutely love it.

i had looked at several passats, had my heart set on a 99 2.5 rs subaru, but that didn't happen. then i fell in love with the A4 plan on sticking with audi's forever if i can afford it!

Love it when it's not in the shop. Hate it when it's in the shop.

Why did you decide to buy one?

My brother-in-law had a '97 and I took a fancy to his. Also, I was driving a '96 Saturn SL2 at the time.

Was there another vehicle you were thinking about before you bought the audi?

No, not really. But there are plenty that have caught my roving eye now(you naughty 2011 Volvo S60, I'm looking at you!)

 

I recently bought an A4 20V SE (2 days ago) Its soooo beautiful, leather is in beautiful condition, has nice wood grain But... Needs new transmission pretty soon apparently, had to have radiator hose fixed, muffler is cracked and it leaks water on the left side. (i have a sun roof) this could be why).

Bascically i need help with the leak. I cant work out where its coming from. Its not coming down the dash its almost like its coming from under the carpet??
