Do you like your new audi?
She's easily the best car I've ever owned.
How long have you owned it?
Since Halloween of '08
Why did you decide to buy one?
I couldn't afford to feed the 1995 Chevy truck I was driving and wanted to get a fun to drive, manual transmission luxury car.
Was there another vehicle you were thinking about before you bought the Audi?
I was originally in the market for a manual TDI Jetta or Golf, and was surprised to find that the Audi was actually cheaper with way fewer miles. After about four seconds of my test drive I knew I had to buy the A4, and the next day she was mine. For a daily driver, I'll never drive anything else again.

1999 A4 Quattro
Hello Everyone I am new to the Forums.
Just bought a gently used 99 A4 Quattro here in Houston and looking forward to learning more about the car.

I have owned several BMWs over the years (1986 325es, 1997 318ti, 1998 M Roadster and 1998 M3 Sedan) but this is my first Audi and it just had to be red. LOL!

1. i love my new audi, a few problems here and there but nothing to die over.

3. my previous vehicle was an expedition so as you can expect, gas milage and mostly for the quattro.
4.i was thinking about a subaru too, but the audi took the cake.

hey guys, Ive been posting a tiny bit int he past 2 weeks or so, been browsing the forums and reading post for a month or 2 tho. thought i should post in here eventually so here i am.
i bought my 2000 A4 1.8TQ(5spd of coarse) mid October, dark blue, gray leather interior. it had 92.8k miles when i bought it, in less then 2 weeks had it up to 94.5ish =P runs like a dream looks close to mint, few blemishes.
Love the car more then i even anticipated.
Ive had it since about October 21st or so.
my old car died and i needed a new car and my first thought was Audi or bimmer.
I looked at a lot of each, and personally i love the simplicity, non-gaudy look of the Audis over the bimmers. I also wanted something, stock turbod and AWD was a must!
For now the B5 is my daily driver as well as my toy, next year i think im gonna buy a newer 2005+ Audi for my stock day to day and keep my B5 for my toy/fun car(love the body style of the B5)
im 20 years old this was my first newer car that i actually paid some money for, everything else was mid/early 90s, $1500 or less. i live in Minnesota and i work retail, im also an IT guys, slight car enthusiast(which is why im here =P)

I'll know more soon
1999 A4 quatro 1.8t
1. Don't know yet, in the middle of replacing timing belt, head shaved (a little warpage), water pump etc. The engineering has amazed me thus far...lots specialty tools
2.I've had it a month
3.Great deal, project/commuter car, liked the idea of a quatro
4. not really, just looking for a project car and this one came available

I love my new audi.
I have owned it for about 6 months.
I decided to buy one because I was sick of cheap Japanese crap, with shitty handling and poor exterior design, especially the rust.
I was looking into buying, vtec civics and acuras, lexuses, nissan 350z (not really practical or in my price range), volvo s40, imprezas, jetta,

i guess i'm a little late for this, but ive had the car for less than 6 months so i'll fill it out anyway. Just for the record, I am a 17 year old male.
Do you like your new audi?
- well yes and no. I don't like it because repairs are expensive, repairs are somewhat frequent, and its not as fast and powerful as I would like it to be. But i do because it is sporty while being luxurious. and pretty spacious, which has come in handy recently.
How long have you owned it?
- since August 2010
Why did you decide to buy one?
- I wanted something with a 6 or 8 cylinder engine, a 5 speed manual, and something that isn't a cop magnet. this car fit the bill, with plenty of extras.
Was there another vehicle you were thinking about before you bought the audi?
- well, before the Audi i owned a 96 vw passat glx. it turned out the dealer lied to us about the mileage (long story) and basically they bought it back. but besides that, I was looking at a Camaro z28 and a bmw 330i. both cars had over the top insurance prices, so that was a no.
