I love my Audi
I have owned it for about a week now
I bought this 2001 A4 off of my brother because he bought a 2005 S4
I sold my previous car for this one so no.

 

Just purchased a 1998 Audi A4 Avant Quattro

With all new used cars, I love it but it does have a few quirks.

Owned it for a few weeks, fun to drive.

I needed a vehicle to go to Lake Tahoe that was more fuel efficient than my Chevy Tahoe

My choices were slim. Land Rover, Volvo XC, or BMW X3.

 

have a 2001 Audi A4 1.8T auto. check engine light came on simultaniously the transmission is stuck in 3rd gear (tiptronic tried to go to manual mode
no change) any ideas out there as to what is going on????

Im new to the forum. I bought a 1999 A4 2.8 Quattro about six month ago and saved it from the wrecking yard. It is now up and running and is a lot of fun to drive. I got it out of the shop the day before thanksgiving and I cant wait to do more to it.

I love driving my 1999 2.8 A4 MT Avant w/sports suspension. 143K miles. Bought it in July on Craigslist. We have a B7 A4 MT, too. The Bose stereo sounds surprisingly terrific. Gas mileage around town is awful and it leaks/uses a bit of oil - as a mechanic told me 'if it doesn't leak, it's not German.'

ive had it about a year and a half
it has 243k and it will get another 100k ..runs like a champ
my previous car was a piece of blank toyota camry....

only other cars i would have bought were a vw bmw or mercedes

 

it's a fuse, or the transmission shift module(forgot the legit name lol). Check you fuses, all of them, I think its a random one. This happened to me on my auto A6, I think its the one that controls the shift module on your transmission. Either that or the module has gone bad. I got my money on a fuse.

Why did you decide to buy one? Audi one of the best, and a4 is optimal choice, not too big , not too small, perfect.

I love my audi! This is my second car, and I couldn't ask for a better car. My a4 quattro handles great in my northern Indiana weather.

How long have you owned it?

I have owned it since mid October.

Why did you decide to buy one?

I have been a long time looker at audi's. I've always wanted to own one and when my 1st car broke down I thought it was time to look seriously.

Was there another vehicle you were thinking of before you bought the audi?

Pontiac grand am, pontiac grand prix, chevy impala, chevy monte carlo.
